OUR MISSION & PURPOSE
The Mission of the Corpus Christi Black Chamber of Commerce is to further promote social and economic development for the Coastal Bend Black/African-American communities. The Corpus Christi Black Chamber strives to make a difference by educating the public and expanding business opportunities.
OUR PURPOSE
The Corpus Christi Black Chamber is organized for the following purposes:
To develop, promote, and protect African American and minority businesses in the Corpus Christi area and surrounding cities,
To support the advancement, education and economic growth of the African American and minority business community, and
To serve as a business resource, a forum and advocate for African American and minority business issues and a united voice for the African American and minority business community.

2022 Black Chamber Graduation Scholarship Application

The 2022 Black Chamber Education Scholarships are presented in June each year to support African American high school graduates pursue higher education or college students in first two years of college in the Coastal Bend Area. The Coastal Bend Area includes Nueces, San Patricio, Aransas, Kleberg, Bee, Brooks, Jim Wells, Kenedy and Refugio counties.
The Dr. Geraldine Johnson Scholarship and Dr. Gloria Scott Scholarships are designated for students interested in education or business majors. Scholarship recipients are recognized at a Juneteenth Mixer and the Annual Business & Young Entrepreneur Awards Banquet in the Fall. The Board of Directors of the Corpus Christi Black Chamber of Commerce wishes you success.
